THE MOSAIC TEAM - PUTTING THE PIECES TOGETHER...

We have a strong team of real estate professionals representing decades of diverse experience in all aspects of real estate sales, marketing and management.  Key team members:

KENNETH R. MITCHELL - OWNER/BROKER

Licensed Real Estate Broker for more than 35 years, representing more than $1 billion in real estate transactions.

Expertise in all aspects of real estate during a 40+ year career in brokerage, land development and property management.

Ken has a Master of Science degree from Colorado State University with a concentration in natural resource management and economics.  He began his career in the homebuilding business and was responsible for the construction of over fifty homes.

In 1978, his career emphasis shifted to the development of master planned communities, including all aspects of land planning, development, marketing and new home sales.

Subsequently, Ken worked as a consultant for several financial institutions and was hired as a Vice-President of the Real Estate Division for AmWest Savings.  During this time, Ken managed a real estate team that was responsible for the sale and closing of hundreds of distressed properties, including single family homes, large land tracts, residential lots as well as commercial properties throughout Texas and other states.

As a fee consultant, Ken has worked closely with a number of national homebuilders in the development of residential communities and developed and leased several commercial shopping centers. He also coordinated site selection and served as broker representative for multiple gasoline station pad sites and medical clinics throughout Texas.

For several years, Ken managed the land acquisition and development division of Ashton Woods Homes and guided the growth of this homebuilder in the Texas market.  During this time, Ken established Canyon Realty, a residential real estate company designed to assist homebuyers in selling their existing homes in order to purchase a new home from Ashton Woods.  Within two years, Canyon Realty was selling 50-100 homes annually.

Ken relocated to Florida in 2002 to take a position with Mercedes Homes as President of their Land Division.  Mercedes was an emerging homebuilder on the national stage.  While with Mercedes, Ken helped grow the firm from the 47th largest homebuilder in the nation to one of the top 20 national builders, constructing and selling several thousand homes each year. Ken served as the in-house broker for Our House Realty, a residential sales affiliate of Mercedes Homes, whose purpose was to provide sales service to prospective homebuyers.

Kenneth left Mercedes homes in 2007 to join SunCal Companies, one of the largest developers of master-planned communities in the United States.  While with SunCal, Ken managed a $500 million portfolio of distressed assets in Florida and the Carolinas including single family homes, land tracts and commercial properties.
